Sources of location scourges do not help characters.

Description
Brain Mold, among other barriers like Locked Door, appear to be designed to allow you to re-encounter them to clear the scourges they inflict... except they actually don't, due to only removing scourges from their locations and not the players. Non-intuitive and bad gameplay (especially Brain Mold).
Suggested change to Brain Mold, with similar wording changed on each bane that uses this mechanic, from:
"If defeated, banish this barrier and remove the scourges Drained and Poisoned from your location."
to:
"If defeated, banish this barrier and remove the scourges Drained and Poisoned from your location and each local character ."
I'd pend this on a discussion of location scourges, first, since those rules are downright strange, and the rules almost certainly worked different when this card was designed.
The downside of the suggestion above is that it would encourage people who had those scourges - from any source - to run over and get un-scourged, which is downright strange.
It should probably just be:
Before acting, suffer the scourges Drained and Poisoned.
If defeated, remove the scourges Drained and Poisoned.
If undefeated, mark your location with the scourges Drained and Poisoned.
It'll even fit the card better.
That seems to still remove the scourges from people that didn't get the scourges from the location.
