Description
Frequent intent mismatches with what happens when you're instructed to do something to a card that's not in the zone you expect. For example, Vic made a hard rule that you always continue to follow the instructions no matter what zone the card is in... but this has explicitly not matched the intent of a number of character designs, such as Core Fumbus (where his Fumbler role does not behave like that, according to Keith).
- Priority changed from Normal to High
I feel that either way things are ruled, either ignore cards that are no longer available or apply effects even if the card has been moved, there will be problems. It seems there are powers that assume things operate both ways and the only way to fix everything is to change each and every card that deals with it.
Or at least we can declare that unavailable cards cannot be affected by powers and only change the cards that assume they can.
Fumbler might need separate attention, regardless of this fix.
Other than the instance of summons (where you want to always make sure it goes back in the box, regardless of any instructions on the card you're encountering or playing), when does Vic's interpretation help, and when does it hurt?
Like, does the Giant Fly actually work, or do you after acting shuffle it into a location then find it and banish it? :)
According to Vic, you find it in the location and banish it, because there is nothing that says it doesn't get banished when defeated and nothing rules that shuffling it overrides the normal behavior.
- Status changed from New to In Progress
